Signature Sour Cream Doughnuts (6)

Purchase by the half-dozen.

Six sour cream doughnuts, baked to a light browning and dunked in warm fluid icing before setting to dry.  Do you need gf sprinkles because they add sunshine to your day?  We can make that happen.

Doughnuts.  Donuts.  However you like to spell it, it means biting into sultry fluffy yumminess.  These little nuggets of sunshine have the best of both worlds.  They’re baked cake doughnuts, but they have the light springiness of a yeast-raised deep fried pastry.  (That makes them less fattening right?  Doing my part to save the world.) They’re not dense and heavy the way a classic cake doughnut is.  Yes, by its very design this should have a texture with more crumb than airy layer, but it’s a good meld.  I think you’ll be happy. 🙂

Gf cake flour [rice flour, potato, AF fiber blend (plant fiber), tapioca flour], sour cream [cultured milk and cream, enzymes], sugar, canola oil, egg, pure vanilla extract [vanilla bean extractives in water, and alcohol], baking soda, salt, grape seed oil, nutmeg ICING: Confectioners' sugar [sugar, cornstarch], water, sugar, corn syrup [light corn syrup, salt, vanilla], powdered agar, gel food coloring [water, sugar, colors (one or more of red #40, red #3, yellow #5, yellow #6, blue #1, blue #2, or titanium dioxide), modified corn starch, vegetable gum, citric acid, and less than 1/10 of 1% sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (as preservatives)], salt, pure vanilla extract [vanilla bean extractives in water, and alcohol]
